How did we get here from there, in the span of half a century? How can we make Singapore the best place to live, work and play – a well-planned, well-run city offering a high quality of life, full of buzz and vibrancy? SG50 is a time to look ahead, to set new goals for the next 50 years; to see and be excited by the opportunities opening up; to appreciate our strengths and capabilities, to give back to the society. Imagine it, decide on it, do it and make it happen. Students will explore how Singapore has changed and transformed over the past five decades and what possible next steps to take. Themes and issues to be explored and represented include:
